During the implementation of a structured cabling project, whether in the design or installation phase, it is necessary to clearly establish the symbols and documentation to be used. The TIA-606-A standard recommends specific symbols that should be used in plans and diagrams.
The use of these symbols will help to exchange information between the different specialists involved in a project and will also serve as input for plans and diagrams of later stages of implementation or MACs (Moves, Additions and Changes), which will always occur during the life of the cabling.
In Peru, a specific Technical Standard for Structured Cabling has not yet been established. Therefore, the National Building Regulations (RNE) indicate in Standard EM.020 Article 7°: “In every building, the necessary conditions must be provided to allow compliance with Peruvian Technical Standards and, if applicable, international recommendations.”.
Therefore, I am making available to you a document containing the most important symbols of structured cabling, which I have published on Scribd: http://es.scribd.com/doc/50616942/Simbolos-de-cableado.
It's a shame it's in English!
😀
Dear Yuri, the structured cabling symbols are not visible in the link. Could you please send them to my email address? [email protected] or re-upload it. Thanks in advance.
Xavier,
Are you referring to Visio templates or symbols for plans?
Greetings,
YB
