This time it was held in the city of Bogot\u00e1, Colombia.<\/p>\n<p>The presentations covered various aspects of information transport systems, and there was much discussion about Data Centers and the solutions that exist in the market today. In particular, the presentations that caught my attention the most regarding Data Centers and standards were those of Jonathan Jew from TIA-USA, who spoke about &quot;What is being developed in standards for Data Centers today,&quot; and Dana Smith&#039;s presentation from Uptime on &quot;Tier: its myths and the certification levels for Data Centers.&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of design, I particularly felt that the event was enriched by the interventions of Nilson Parra from TE on \u201cDesign Criteria for conduits and spaces in works for structured cabling infrastructure\u201d, and the conference by Victor Ba\u00f1uelos from CPI on \u201cMaximum efficiency for high-density applications with passive thermal management\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, I think the event was a success thanks to BICSI&#039;s efforts to promote the use of industry standards in our countries through events like this. The participation of major structured cabling manufacturers was also noteworthy; I was surprised not to see Panduit, either at the conferences or the trade show.
