Hi everyone 👋, a few months ago 📅 I had the privilege of being able to publish in Educational Innovation of the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences, Regarding the importance of having qualified professionals for the data center industry, I'm sharing the link to the publication 😀. . Educational Innovation
I am convinced that Education 📙 💻 is the foundation of all change and improvement for people; it is through learning that we invent and reinvent ourselves, and each of us, from our own position, can build a new reality.
I invite you to read the full article and I look forward to your comments; in any case, I'm sharing some paragraphs on this blog:
“One of the key components in the infrastructure that supports interconnected technological services is the Data Center. According to the Peruvian Technical Specification ETP-ISO/IEC TS 22237-1: Information technology. Data center facilities and infrastructure. Part 1: General concepts, a Data Center is defined as: “a structure or group of structures, dedicated to the centralized hosting, interconnection and operation of information technology and networked telecommunications equipment that provide data storage, processing and transport services, along with all the facilities and infrastructure for power distribution and environmental control, along with the necessary levels of resilience and security required to provide the desired service availability.”.
Companies need a data center to support their internal operations and to provide services to their clients. They can achieve this by having their own data center or by contracting data center services from a third party through a solution called "cloud computing.".
“In Peru, organizations that have world-class data centers and have undergone certification processes with entities such as the Uptime Institute belong to the telecommunications, financial, government, and production sectors, among others.”
The Uptime Institute study entitled: “The people challenge: Global data center staffing forecast 2021-2025”, predicts a growth in demand for professionals for Data Centers globally, with a sustained trend of 2% annually, including staff for corporate, colocation and cloud Data Centers.
This is putting pressure on data center operators worldwide to find qualified candidates, reaching as high as 50% by the year 2000.
The following figure shows that most of the demand corresponds to the stages of operations, connectivity, monitoring and others, regarding design and construction.”
