I am sharing with you an article from a specialized magazine about the progress in the development of the TIA-942-A standard.
It's in English, but I think it will be very useful. Among the points mentioned are:
- Harmonization in terminology with the TIA-568C series of Standards.
- The contents of Grounding and Bonding are removed and incorporated into TIA-607B.
- Content on cable management is removed and included in TIA-606B.
- Content related to racks and separation between communication and power cables is removed and incorporated into TIA-569C.
- Outside Plant Piping Systems are removed and incorporated in TIA-758B.
- The 100-meter limit for Fiber Optics has been removed.
- Categories 3 and 5E are no longer recognized in Horizontal Cabling.
- In Fiber Optics: OM1 and OM2 are not recognized in TIA-942A.
- The MPO connector is recognized for more than 2 fibers.
- The IDA (Intermediate Distribution Area) has been added
- An Energy Efficiency section has been added.
These are the advances in the development of this Standard by the TIA TR-42 Working Group.

Hi Yuri, yesterday (June 14th) I participated in the workshop you gave at Indecopi, and I found it very interesting, since our company is working on this topic. Your PowerPoint presentation would be very helpful, so I'm leaving my email address so you can send it to me. Thanks a million. Best regards, Vicente
